Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity today announces 13 outstanding chapters amongst the contenders for recognition as a recipient of the 2011 Pyramid of Excellence Award—the highest honor bestowed upon chartered chapters of the Fraternity.
The Pyramid of Excellence Award is presented annually to undergraduate chapters who have demonstrated excellence in all areas of fraternity operations in a given academic year, and through their collective contributions to the Fraternity and their host campuses exemplify the true spirit of our founders by personifying the Fraternity’s mission of building better men.
This year’s finalists are:
• Alpha Gamma – Georgia Tech
• Alpha Eta – Ohio Northern
• Alpha Lambda – Millikin
• Alpha Pi – Michigan State
• Alpha Tau – Albion
• Beta Beta – Mizzou
• Beta Mu – Transylvania
• Gamma Rho – Gannon
• Delta Epsilon – Missouri S&T
• Zeta Lambda – Rose Hulman
• Theta Mu – Kentucky
• Kappa Delta – Virginia Tech
• Theta Psi – Shorter College
To be eligible, chapters must be in good standing and are required to complete the Fraternity’s Accreditation Application. Amongst the criteria evaluated are: academic and personal Success, membership growth retention, advisory support and management, responsibility and accountability, campus and community involvement, financial and administrative management and adherence to the official Ritual of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
Each of these chapters will be recognized during the upcoming 57th & Biennial National Convention of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity to be held in Orlando, Florida on July 28 - 31. The Pyramid of Excellence Awards will be presented on Sunday evening, July 31 during the Convention Closing Banquet & Awards Ceremony.
