The Zeta Xi Chapter at St. Cloud State University recently took part in their inaugural Adopt-a-Pond clean up, which is an effort in St. Cloud, Minnesota to better the maintenance of the natural habitat of the city.
Fifteen of the chapter members took part in the event at the pond located in front of St. Cloud’s City Public Works building, and were able to do their part in beautifying the area. They collected a great deal of refuse, and felt good about their accomplishments.
According to chapter member Wade Magnusson, “It’s a great opportunity for us to not only get our name out into the community, but also a fantastic way for us to better the wildlife in St. Cloud.”
This effort is on the heels of another Delta Sig Chapter’s efforts at cleaning a local river in their area for Earth Day. The Gamma Zeta Colony at Rutgers University helped clean up the Raritan River on April 18. The story on their efforts can be found by
