To successfully lead their chapters, young Delta Sigs need training. Chapter leaders must learn to inspire and lead their members, while successfully managing chapter operations. Delta Sigma Phi provides its high-caliber undergraduate leaders with the opportunity to attend Regional Leadership Academies to build and maintain these necessary leadership skills.
The RLAs bring undergraduate chapter leaders and alumni volunteers together for a full day of interactive teaching to improve their skills and knowledge in multiple areas of chapter operations including basic busine333333333333333ss skills, financial management and strategic planning. Sessions on recruitment, alumni relations, academic achievement and community service point the way to stronger chapters. The 2005 Regional Leadership Academies (RLAs) were held at six campuses across the country. For the third consecutive year the fraternity prepared more than 500 brothers from the undergraduate and alumni ranks for successful chapter management.
Funded by the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation, the RLAs are a significant opportunity for undergraduate members to learn leadership skills that will not only improve their individual chapter operations but also will offer tangible life skills that can be used beyond their fraternity experience. Sessions are lead by experienced professionals that are Delta Sigma Phi staff members, fraternity alumni and campus professionals.
Online registration has been made available for the 2009 Regional Leadership Academies. Chapters can send ten undergraduate leaders and five alumni volunteers to the event. Please click on the link below for the event to which your chapter has been invited for more information or to register.
