Bruce Loewenberg, Missouri '58, became the president of the American Salers Association
(ASA) at its annual meeting and banquet held during the National Western Stock Show on January 17, 2009. The ASA is the leadership voice that records, protects and promotes Salers cattle, and represents Salers breeders across the nation.
Loewenberg, who currently serves on Delta Sigma Phi's Grand Council, is a cattleman in eastern Missouri who sells Salers bulls from his ranch. He previously served in leadership roles with Maritz Corporation.
He has been an avid supporter of Missouri's academic and athletic programs since his graduation in the early 1960s, and has a strong interest in worldwide conservation efforts to protect and preserve wild tigers.
Since his initiation into Delta Sigma Phi, Loewenberg has held leadership roles and has shown his love for the Fraternity in many ways. He is a previous winner of Delta Sigma Phi's Harvey H. Hebert Memorial Award, and in 2007, provided for a generous $2 million planned gift to the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation.
