The Alpha Upsilon Chapter at Kansas State University has been busy this spring, raking in both chapter and individual awards.
Chapter-Specific Accomplishments
The chapter won the Ecolympics competition for the "Greenest Fraternity on Campus". According to Chapter President Russell Propp, "It was a huge honor, because the selection process consisted of 14 guidelines ranging from most energy saved, to recycling programs used, etc."
Individual Member Accomplishments
- Wayne Stoskopf, Kansas State '06, was elected student body vice president.
- Adam Tank, Kansas State '06, was elected Attorney General on campus.
- Travis Stuewe, Kansas State '06, was elected as Director of Judicial Affairs for the campus' Interfraternity Council.
- Russell Propp, Kansas State '07, Matt Marchesini, Kansas State '08, Michael Boeck, Kansas State '08, Alex Edwards, Kansas State '07, and New Member Connor Hartpence were all elected as new Wildcat Warm-Up Counselors for the new student orientation program. They make up five of the 22 members of this group of students.
- Paul Mintner, Kansas State '07, was elected to be an Orientation and Enrollment leader this summer.
- Tank, Mintner, Stoskopf, and Donnie Hampton, Kansas State '06, were selected for the Blue Key National Senior Honorary.
- A number of brothers were elected to be senators in the Student Governing Association, including Kyle Reynolds, Kansas State '08, Andrew Wagner, Kansas State '08, Ryan Willcott, Kansas State '07, Russell Buchanan, Kansas State '08, and Tanner Banion, Kansas State '04.
