Does my gift really make a difference?
Yes! Every gift, every year, no matter the size, is important and greatly appreciated. By giving every year you are making an investment in the future of our Fraternity. Your gift to the Foundation is the most direct and effective way to ensure the continuing success of Delta Sigma Phi. Every contribution strengthens our ability to serve our chapters and enhance the leadership training, academic scholarships, educational housing that we can provide to our undergraduate members.

 
 

Can I specify how I want my gift to be used?
Absolutely. You can support any chapter or Foundation program through a restricted gift. Designated use for such gifts may include the Leadership Institute, your chapter’s 21st Century Fund, and other educational and leadership development programming.

 
 

How can I make my annual gift to the Annual Fund?
Gifts of cash via currency, personal check, credit card, money order, or bank draft are the most popular methods of supporting the Annual Fund. To make a gift today you can:

  • Call us at 317-634-1899
  • Send a check or money order to:

  • Make a secure online gift using our online giving form (you may do so with a credit card or an electronic funds transfer from your bank account using NOCHEX)
 
 

Are online donations safe and secure?
Yes, your online donation is secure. When making a contribution using the online giving page, be sure to look for the “s” (which stands for secure) after “http” in the web-address bar at the top of the online giving page and the image of a padlock in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser.

 
 

Can I increase my support by having my company match my gift?
Yes! If your employer participates in a matching gift program you may be able to increase your Foundation gift by double or triple the size of your personal contribution. Simply forward your company's matching gift form to the Foundation along with your gift. To see a list of companies, click here.

 
 

What are the benefits of making a gift of stock?
There are two distinct tax benefits that occur a donor makes a gift of stock. First, you are able to avoid the capital gains taxes that would normally be paid on stocks that have appreciated in value, currently 15%). Second, you are allowed to deduct the full fair market value of the gift on your taxes for that year, providing you have owned the stock for more than one year.

 
 

Is making a stock gift easy to do?
Yes, it is very easy. Stocks can be transferred electronically from your brokerage account or can be sent through the mail if held in certificate form. Please contact Tony Smercina at (248) 464-2003 or Randy Peterson (704) 907-9815 or foundation@deltasig.org for transfer instructions.

 
 

Does 100% of my gift go towards Delta Sigma Phi?
100% of your donation goes directly to Delta Sigma Phi. Your gift will allow Delta Sigma Phi to continue our staff services, academic scholarships, and excellent leadership programs.

 
 

How can I suspend a monthly/quarterly/annual automatic bank withdrawal?
If you previously requested to have a gift automatically withdrawn from a bank account and wish to cancel that option, please e-mail arenstein@deltasig.org or call 317-634-1899 x424. Please indicate that you wish to cancel your NOCHEX bank withdrawal, and please allow 2-3 weeks for automatic withdrawals to be cancelled.

What are my payment options?
You can donate using your Visa or MasterCard. You can also use a check, cash, or securities.

 
 

Are my donations 100% tax-deductible?
Yes. All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Delta Sigma Phi Foundation is a 501 (c) (7) charitable organization. You can view our IRS Form 990 and other financial information at www.guidestar.com.

 
 
 

May I support my own chapter exclusively by making a tax-deductible gift to the Foundation?
All currently operating chapters and colonies now have a 21st Century Fund, which is a chapter-specific fund at the Foundation where Pyramid Perpetuation gifts and other chapter-specific contributions are deposited. These restricted donations can be granted for education purposes, such as: scholarships, computer and networking equipment, libraries and leadership training. The funds can also be loaned to the Alumni Corporation Board (ACB) for chapter house acquisition, purchase or improvements.

 
 

Would you ever release my name or account information to other parties?
The Delta Sigma Phi Foundation guarantees that we will not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal information.
