After graduating from the University of North Carolina–Charlotte in 1996, Randy joined Delta Sigma Phi’s staff as a Regional Leadership Director. He focused his attention on the Great Lakes area working with undergraduates and alumni on chapter operations. Randy left staff for nearly two years but continued to volunteer his time and talents to the organization.

Randy once again joined the Delta Sigma Phi team in 1999 promoting Delta Sigma Phi’s Leadership for the Second Century Campaign in the Eastern United States. Randy played an integral part in the successful completion of the $5.5 million campaign.

On July 1, 2006, Randy was promoted to become the Foundation’s 4th Executive Director. He will continue to design and execute fundraising strategies and activities throughout the United States for the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation. In addition to taking over executive management responsibilities he will continue to grow the 1899 Society, provide leadership for on-going chapter campaigns, manage Foundation communications, and supervise additional fundraising staff.

After serving as a district volunteer in the late 80’s, Tony was appointed as the Fraternity’s Executive Director in 1989, a position he held until late 1997. Before joining the Delta Sigma Phi staff, Tony was on the sales team for NCR Corporation for five years.

In 1997, Tony shifted his full attention to the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation to serve as its Executive Director. In this position Tony led the organization to complete its first-ever capital campaign. The Leadership for the Second Century Campaign came to a close at the 2001 Delta Sigma Phi Convention after meeting the goal of $5.5 million.

Today, Tony continues to work with brothers around the country who support the Fraternity’s educational mission through tax-deductible financial support. His firm, Charitable Partners, is the Foundation’s outsourcing partner handling all management and fundraising duties.His focus with the Foundation is now primarily on planned giving.

Tony is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), as conveyed by the American Society of Association Executives, and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

David is a Delta Sigma Phi initiate and graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where he earned a BS in Behavioral Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. Prior to graduating he entered the non-profit world to work with disadvantaged girls in the Pasadena area. This was the beginning of a career that has included running a children’s program at a homeless shelter and working at a probation camp with incarcerated teens.

Prior to Joining the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation in 2007, David was the Director of Resource Development for two different Boys & Girls Clubs in Orange County, California where he remains an active volunteer.

David currently lives in Lake Elsinore, CA with his wife Leslie and son Caden.

John Derbin earned a BBA in Finance from Grand Valley State University in 1998. While on campus he was active in his chapter, student government, Greek leadership and the university's volunteer leadership program.

Prior to joining the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation staff in October 2006, John was employed in the financial services field working for Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase and most recently running his own company, as an independent financial advisor. Because of his financial services background, John has extensive experience in the areas of estate, trust and charitable gift planning. Married in July 2006, John and his wife Elizabeth currently reside in Grand Rapids, MI.
 

Leslie Folkerth
Development Associate

Leslie has over 20 years of administrative experience in office and database management. She was director of operations for Delta Sigma Phi (1996-2000), and her Foundation work now includes systems administration, fundraising, and client support.


She earned her BS degree from The Ohio State University, and her MBA from Indiana University.  Leslie and her husband Doug now reside in Gainesville, Florida. They are avid bicyclists (both mountain biking and road) as well as boating enthusiasts.   She also volunteers for her local state park, doing marketing, public relations, website administration, communications, event management, and fundraising.
