The Robert R. Harris Awards for Outstanding Recruitment are named in honor of Robert R. Harris, Saint Louis ’88, who entered the Bond Eternal at an early age. He served his chapter as rush chairman and president, and helped raise chapter membership from 20 to 80 members while serving in these positions. Rob also served on the Headquarters staff as a Regional Leadership Director and as Director of Expansion.
The award recognizes those chapters who have made an effort to pay the debt by bringing men better than themselves into the Fraternity. They are awarded in two categories: to the chapter that recruits the most new members of any chapter in the country, and the chapter with the most improved recruitment performance over the past year. Certificates of Merit are also awarded in these categories.
