Thinking About Joining?
So, you are interested in joining a fraternity. Your campus may have many to choose from. But why join Delta Sigma Phi? How are we different than the rest?
By joining one of our more than 100 chapters across the nation, you will join a movement with men action who make a statement and refuse to be typical.
Delta Sigma Phi was created by men who wanted a fraternity experience that wasn’t limited by their backgrounds or socio-economic status. In 1899, this was unheard of. In a time very different than ours today, our Founders had a vision that fits perfectly with our ever-shrinking world.
Think about it: The world is becoming an increasingly interconnected place. America’s top CEOs and entertainers deal with customers and partners internationally. Through technology, it’s easier to connect with others anytime, anywhere. Delta Sig has supported learning about and engaging others regardless of race, religion or creed from the very beginning!
Delta Sigs act with purpose. Those around you hear what you say; they also see what you do. Whether or not you wear our letters, speak our motto daily or choose to show off your membership badge every chance you get, know this: A Delta Sig is identified by the action he takes to better the world around him, not by the certificate of membership he receives in the mail.
Delta Sigma Phi is a lifelong brotherhood, and we invite you to consider being a part. To learn more, fill out our Interest Form or give us a call at (317) 634-1899. Interested in joining but there isn’t a chapter near you? Learn more about our process to start a new chapter!
Starting a Chapter
If you are interested in the ideals and values of Delta Sigma Phi, but there is no chapter on your campus? It could be possible to start an interest group and petition for recognition with the Fraternity and your campus administration.
Our Petition Guide will help you follow our process for receiving recognition as a new chapter of Delta Sig. Please keep in mind that we do not storm campuses. Without explicit consent from your institution’s administration and/or student activities office, we will not recognize any petitioning group as a new chapter of Delta Sigma Phi. We recognize that starting an interest group takes patience, vision and plenty of effort. We value all interest in starting a new chapter of Delta Sigma Phi, but we always want to ensure coming to campus is welcomed and beneficial to the campus community.
If you have an interest group or if you are curious about our process, let us know. Call Director of Fraternity Growth and Support, Ry Beck, at email@example.com or (317) 634-1899 ext. 485, after you have spoken with the proper professional staff or administration member at your institution.
