Bruce J. Loewenberg Membership Summit

Better Men. Better Lives.

Recruiting and Education for Stronger Chapters

The Bruce J. Loewenberg Membership Summit is the Fraternity’s three-day training program for incoming undergraduate recruitment officers and new member educators.

Held in January each year, Summit gives newly-elected recruitment officers the opportunity to learn how to identify and recruit the best members for their chapter, as well as educate and motivate other chapter members to recruit Better Men year-round. Through hands-on workshops and group discussions participants develop their communication skills and build effective recruitment strategies.

Newly-elected new member educators learn core competencies in facilitation, team building and coaching that are often needed to design a positive new member experience. Our goal is to help build stronger chapters by creating environments that will allow our newest members to be successful. Hazing prevention and Fraternity policies are also discussed in detail.

The program is named for Bruce J. Loewenberg, University of Missouri ’58. A long-time supporter of Delta Sigma Phi national programs and frequent facilitator, Loewenberg made a financial commitment to support Summit in 2013.
